Trainers, Something mysterious is happening in Pokemon GO, Golden PokéStops, A Mysterious Pokemon walking around and Mysterious Coin ??? from the PokeStops.

What is happening in Pokemon GO?

In an recent blog, Niantic have revealed few more details about the Mysterious Pokemon, but lets begin with the past for those who are not aware.

The Past

On November 5th 2022, Trainers around the world started reporting some mysterious Golden Pokestops.

It was observed that as soon as Community Classic was ended, Pokestops started turning into Golden Pokestops. Spining this Pokestops had some special effect and had the following outcomes:

  1. A Mysterious coin
  2. A lot of loot

Spining this Pokestops rewarded the trainers with some mysterious coin and it also triggered a dialog between Professor Willow, and Jacq, a new character coming in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

It was also observed that a Mysterious Pokemon was roaming around the Player in the map. It was not catchable, but clicking on it triggered a speech above its head with a Coin inside the bubble.

Here’s the Full Dialog between Prof. Willow and Prof. Jacq

Willow – What’s that you’ve got, %PLAYERNAME%? Ah! Yes, I see—this appears to be a very old coin. I picked one up myself, actually. There’s something mysterious about them…

Jacq – Professor Willow? Can you hear me?

Willow – Oh—hello, Jacq! It was great hearing you speak at the World Pokémon Ecological Society conference the other day!

Jacq – Thank you. Your lecture, "Strolling through the World of Pokémon," was fantastic, too!

Willow – %PLAYERNAME%, this is Jacq. He teaches biology at an academy in the Paldea region.

Jacq – It’s very nice to meet you! Hm? Oh! That coin…!

Willow – Hm? Do you know something about this, Jacq?

Jacq – I think I might… I know we were supposed to discuss Diglett, but can I get a rain check? This is something that I want to look into!

Willow – Of course! I’ll get right on researching this with %PLAYERNAME%. And I’ll be sure to take a video of the coin and share it with you soon.

Jacq – Thank you! I’ll see you later, then. Happy exploring!

Willow – All right, %PLAYERNAME%—let’s get cracking! I’d like to find a few more coins, so why don’t we start looking around? These coins are a little suspicious, but I can’t help feeling excited all the same! I believe a thorough investigation is in order. We’ve got a lot of ground to cover—so I’ll start my search over there! Are you ready? Then let’s GO!

The Mystery Reveals Partially, Meet Gimmighoul!

Gimmighoul — Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet | Official Website

On November 7th 2022, Niantic in its recent blog revealed the Mysterious Pokemon and Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Crossover.

“It turns out that this Pokémon, seen hanging around Trainers who have picked up a suspicious coin, is Gimmighoul, who was originally discovered in the Paldea region!

Research conducted by Professor Willow and Jacq, a biology teacher from the Paldea region, confirms that Trainers have spotted Gimmighoul in its Roaming Form. Further, there’s another form in the Paldea region called Chest Form Gimmighoul.”

How to catch Gimmighoul roaming form?

The Nintendo Switch games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet—slated for release on Friday, November 18, 2022—will link with Pokémon GO!

Linking these games will allow you to catch Gimmighoul (Roaming Form) in Pokémon GO.

What are those Mysterious Coin? Where they will be used?

This still remains to be mystery, Soon a special research will be conducted in Pokemon GO and it will reveal the Mysterious coin mystery.

Trainers, Every time we start a data mine article we all are in excitement about some new feature coming in, but this time the things are different, this data mine report might bring disappointment among the fans!

Pokemon GO has been around for a few years now and has made its creator a bunch of cash via in-app purchases, live events, sponsored PokeStops and Gyms. However, it seems Niantic is now thinking of a different revenue model through Ads.

In the recent update 0.227.0, The Pokemon GO Datamining group PokeMiners has spotted the placeholders for the Google Ad Library. The placeholders are from small banner ads to full-page ads.

Although the update is yet to be applied, which means the Google ads might never arrive, Pokemon Go players are already voicing their concern:

How do you feel about this news? Have you put in a lot of cash? Would you be ready to pay extra to have an ad-free experience? Do let us know in the comment section!

Trainers, Pokemon GO has started testing the Power Up Pokestops and Gym feature and a lot of new details have been revealed with this test, without further ado, let’s deep dive in!

Note: According to the reports, The Power up Pokestops feature is currently being tested by players of Level 20 or higher in New Zealand.

What is Power Up Pokestops or Gyms Feature?

Through the upcoming feature, We will be able to temporarily level up a PokeStop or Gym to reach Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. Each level will provide more powerful or valuable items on each spin.

Pokestops Power up levels

How to Power up Pokestops or Gyms?

To power up a PokéStop or Gym, you must contribute location points, which will be represented by tick marks around the outside of the Photo Disc.

You can contribute location points to a PokéStop or Gym by uploading an AR scan of that location, more AR scans will contribute more location points and power up the PokéStop or Gym to subsequent levels for a temporary period.

Here’s a video showing the Power up the gym to level 1

What are Pokestops or Gym Levels and Rewards?

The Pokestops or Gym levels are still not disclosed by Niantic, but thanks to our data miners (PokeMiner) who got the inside information from the Game Master!

Here’s are the Level details found inside the latest Game Master Update:

  Level 1 Level 2 Level 3
Power up duration  48 hrs 12 hrs 12 hrs
Points Required 50 100 250
Rewards
  • Bonus items on spin
  • Bonus items on spin

A New Spring Loading screen is now live in Pokemon GO and has brought a lot to glory in the world of Pokemon GO, It features several Pokemon which are already in the game like Kricketune, Buneary, Whirlipede, Servine and Petilil along with some brand new faces!

There are 3 new Pokemon showcased directly in the artwork and as always Niantic loves to give a teaser, there is a hidden Pokemon in the background.

Here are some new faces that can be seen in the Spring 2021 Loading Screen:

Xerneas

Pokemon 716 Xerneas Pokedex: Evolution, Moves, Location, Stats

At the top of the Waterfall, Xerneas the Fairy-type Legendary Pokemon from Generation 6 can be seen. We would be excited to see this new release in the Season of Legends.

Pancham

Pokemon 2674 Shiny Pancham Pokedex: Evolution, Moves, Location, Stats

Pancham the cute and adorable Pokemon which resembles young panda can be seen climbing the fallen tree trunk. It is a Fighting-type Pokemon from Generation 6.

Aromatisse

Pokemon 683 Aromatisse Pokedex: Evolution, Moves, Location, Stats

Aromatisse the evolved form of Spritzee can be soon on the top of the tree trunk. It is a Fairy-type Pokemon from Generation 6.

Sylveon

Pokemon 700 Sylveon Pokedex: Evolution, Moves, Location, Stats

Hidden in the loading screen near the waterfall, Niantic has dropped a teaser for most of the Pokemon fans who are excited for the final Eeveelution, Sylveon.

Sylveon is a pure Fairy-type Pokemon from Generation 6 and currently, it is not known how the evolution will work or it will require some additional item.

Note: At the time of writing this article, None of these Pokémon hinted at here currently have sprites in-game.

We soon expect a new wave of some Kalos region Pokemon making their debut in Pokemon GO.
