A New bug was found in the Latest game update but Unlike many other bugs, this one can be efficiently used to improve your gameplay and game experience, this bug enables you to completely skip the Pokeball shaking animation and the Pokémon catch screen saving your time.

Follow the steps to skip the Pokéball shaking animation and Pokémon catch screen

Step 1: Use your non-throwing hand to pull the PokeBall switcher from right to left. The icon will remain in a translated state but the Pokéball drawer will not open. Do not lift your finger.

Step 2: Use your throwing hand to throw the ball, do not lift the non-throwing hand from the screen until you throw the ball or the Pokemon has been hit

Step 3: Now lift your left finger (Non-throwing hand). Now PokeBall Switcher will appear, dismiss by tapping on the screen and now press the escape button as soon as possible

Step 4: Once you’re out of the encounter, click on the Pokémon again. If you caught it, it will say Error, otherwise, you will just restart the capture encounter.

It sounds much more difficult but after 1-2 try it will be easy, if you did everything correctly then our catching speed will be increased dramatically.

This Bug prevented players from catching the Raid boss after the raid if anyone from the group had backed out. This bug was reported by many trainers on TheSilphroad

As said by @desmith03 on TheSilphRoad, who went on to test on how to avoid this bug :

BLUF: Do not back out of the raid.

We unfortunately did some unintentional “testing” in our town today and confirmed the cause of the bug which prevents the raid boss catch. Essentially, if anyone backs out, the rest of the raid group will not have the opportunity to catch the boss.

On two different occasions today, we had a group of 21-22 with a Solar Beam Ho-Oh. In order to help, we had some from one team go in to assist with damage, and back out before beating in order to go in with the 2nd group. On 3 of 3 occasions, this prevented anyone in the first group from getting a catch screen.

When no one backed out, everyone got the catch opportunity just like normal.

After acknowledging the Raid Boss Catch bug, Niantic has officially announced that the bug has been resolved.

Niantic Support tweeted the following :

We’ve resolved an issue which prevented some Trainers from completing Raid Battles. We apologize if you encountered this issue.

As previously reported, Niantic had introduced a new Anti-cheat feature in the recent update popularly know as App Blacklist, The new feature scans player’s device for third-party cheating apps. If any are detected, the game refuses to start with the following blacklist warning screen text:

“We have detected software that can interfere with the operation of Pokémon GO on your device. This includes applications that falsify your location. Using unauthorized software that directly impacts Pokémon GO is a violation of Niantic’s Terms of Service and can result in the loss of your account. You will need to uninstall any such applications in order to continue gameplay.

As of today, it seems that Niantic’s blacklisting security measure has come to an end for iOS, opening gates for iOS users to spoof freely.

According to a tweet from Pepijn Bruienne, a Mac enterprise administrator and a Mac administrator at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, the bug that enabled apps to sniff around the installed apps list is no longer active:

Apple shipped an additional kernel vulnerability patch in the iOS 11.1.1 update: CVE-2017-13852 – “A malicious application may be able to learn information about the presence and operation of other applications on the device.” So not just the viral autocorrect & Siri fix. ???

Although for Android the security measure is still active, monitoring the installed Apps in players phone. It has been reported that the warning screen is also triggered by using a third party IV checker.

If Niantic was caught exploiting this, they’d most likely be kicked from the app store. Or at least get a very stern “Change this immediately” from Apple

Few days a new update was released which included 7 new moves, blacklist tweaks, Unity upgrade and background audio fix. But it is evident that the distribution of the new update has been stopped in both Android and iOS. The update was first available to subset players of targeted devices.

Android players can still get their hands on the 0.81.1 APK via APKMirror, a popular APK sharing website.

Although we suggest users stay away from the update until it is forced.

Why the Update Got Withdrawn?

Niantic has acknowledged that a number of new bugs were introduced in the update and its probably due to recent Unity Engine upgrade, the underlying rendering engine and framework of Pokemon GO.

Although there is a lot of new bugs and crashes, one of the Redditor Elim-Garak mentioned on the matter.

It must be withdrawn because of the security risk of PTC login which does not mask the password anymore and because it does not allow Chinese and Japanese character input anymore. Both are reason enough on their own to not roll out.

I myself am also experiencing a lot of crashes, especially during gym battles. It makes gyms almost unplayable. Samsung S8.

We can confirm that The Gym battles are lot buggier than before.

We expect another, smaller update in the coming week Probably the v0.81.3 fixing all the major bugs caused by the new update.

A new bug has been discovered, Do not panic if you encounter green screen after the completing the raid battles it’s happening worldwide.

As reported by Xarrya and many other trainers this bug is happening in the capture challenge screen scenario, and good news is that is does not prevent you from catching the Raid Boss. The Bug is from the Niantic Server side

A Redditor posted the following picture of the bug appearing on 8 devices that participated in the same raid:

Solution 

Just restart the App and you could access the catch screen.

Even though everyone sees the same CP after rejoining, the real CP was already set and if you catch it, it will be different for most people.

According the the reports from many others, users are unable to see the Real Boss CP after restarting the App.

PSA: Don’t join raids in the last 5 minutes if you want to catch the raid boss.
