]]>The post Alolan Forms Are Coming to Pokémon GO and What is Alolan Form? appeared first on PokéWreck.
]]>When everyone thought that Niantic would be taking a break from events, they surprise us all by pulling something from their hat once again! The announcement titled: Alolan Forms are coming to Pokemon GO! went live a couple hours ago on Pokémon GO Live and things just got even better in the past hour! Here’s our News Roundup and What is Alolan Form.
Here’s the Original Message from Niantic
“Sunny days are ahead! Whether your forecast calls for rain or shine, we’re celebrating all around the world by introducing some special Pokémon from the tropical Alola region to Pokémon GO. Get ready for some of the Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region to appear in their Alolan forms! These unique variants were first seen in the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon video games, and they will make their way to Pokémon GO in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for news related to this exciting change—and don’t forget to tell your friends! Stay safe, and happy exploring!”
Alola is Region Variant Pokemon
A regional variant is a species of Pokémon found in a specific region that takes on a different form than it does in most other regions. These Pokémon have uniquely adapted to habitats that are different than those where its species naturally live in other parts of the world. As such, many things may be different about them, from their appearance and way of living to even their type, moves, Abilities, base stats and height and weight. This is analogous to peripatric speciation in regards to real-world phenomena, where a population that is isolated from the rest of the species develop unique traits and eventually evolve into a new species.
According to Blubapedia
In the Alola region, a species’ regional variant is referred to as its Alola Form. A Pokémon in its Alola Form is described as Alolan — for example, Exeggutor in its Alola Form is referred to as Alolan Exeggutor. Only Pokémon introduced in Generation I have Alola Forms.
In Alola, when breeding Pokémon whose offspring has a regional variant, the offspring’s form depends on its parents. If either parent is the species’ normal form and holds an Everstone, and if the offspring is in the same family as that parent, then the offspring will hatch as the normal form. In all other cases, the offspring will always hatch in its Alola Form.

]]>The post Ditto Can Now Hide As This Battle Showdown Pokemon appeared first on PokéWreck.
]]>Ditto isn’t that important in Pokemon Go Metagame, So after collecting one for the Pokedex, most of the players have stopped caring about it. That all changed after Ditto when tracking Ditto became a mandatory part of the Special Research journey for catching the Mythical Pokemon Mew.
Ditto is usually hidden as Pidgey, Zubat, Ratata and few other common Pokemon and only reveals its true form after it is captured. After many reports, it seems like Ditto is now also disguising itself as a Battle Showdown event pokemon.
Starting this Morning, many trainers on Reddit began reporting that they had caught Dittos disguised as Mankey. At first, it considered was as a hoax and it all got cleared after a Player uploaded the Video evidence of the same (Video evidence at the end of the Post)
It is still unclear that Ditto is always going to have a chance of being captured in the form of Mankey of it till the Battle showdown event, but it is a great chance for trainers who are stuck at Special Research quest and should be sure to ignore any Mankey during the event.
After many reports and verification, we are on the list of Pokemon that transform in Ditto after the catch.

As we go through the analysis it clearly shows these boxes aren’t that good as the Kanto Celebration sale. If you’re holding enough number of Lucky eggs and star pieces and looking only for battle than Special Box is for you, if you make 3 purchase of Special Box you get 18 Passes while in the ultra box you get only 15.
As you’d expect, however, the other items in the Ultra Box do make it the best overall value of the three boxes if you take the non-purchasable items into account. If you can afford it, go for the Ultra Box
