It has been confirmed that four Regionals have been released amongst the 50 Released Generation 3.
Why Regional? / Context / Who each one of the pair is related to the other
Plusle and Minun are known as the Cheering Pokémon, Plusle has the “+”(plus) sign, Minun has the “-“(minus) sign, (direct reference to electromagnetism) and Bulbapedia says “that they seem to be related to each other”.
As for Zangoose and Seviper, it is “well known” that they are in a feud (rivalry/vendetta), as in life, snakes and mongooses are biological rivals.(Source)
We’ll update this page if new regional exclusives are released.

The official release trailer is available and shows the following Pokemon species:
We’ll soon update a list of all 50 Pokemon which will be available.
Here’s the official Trailer
In Addition to the above Pokemon, Niantic announced weather effects which are going to affect the Pokemon and it’s move types the Surrounding.
We can confirm that the following six weather effects are coming to Pokemon GO:
Each weather type influences different Pokemon spawns and empowers various moves, abilities and more.
The official website states the following:
or example, you’ll find your odds of discovering Mudkip splashing around will greatly improve on rainy days, as certain Pokémon types will be more commonly found during various weather conditions. Additionally, attacks of certain types will be more effective during some weather conditions, so a Charizard’s Fire Spin will perform better on sunny days, for example.
The official press release has more information and visuals on the upcoming weather effects! The weather has multiple different effects, including increased stardust gain from select Pokemon species.

Quote from the press release:
For the first time in an augmented reality mobile game, real-world weather will now be a factor in the gameplay experience. As Trainers are exploring the world around them in search of Pokémon, the current weather in their vicinity will be visible on the in-game map. The real-world weather around Trainers will impact the gameplay of Pokémon GO in a variety of ways that include changing Pokémon habitats and where they can be found, increasing Combat Power, and earning more Stardust after catching a Pokémon.

]]>The Hype train is getting closer! Generation 3 Advertisement has been spotted in the Apple Watch store, in several countries around the world, this reported was submitted by mpiano888 and is verified by many other Reddit users!
This is how the advertisement looks like, featuring the new Generation III starters Torchic, Treecko, and Mudkip, with a wrong message above it (it’s wrong in every regional Apple Watch store):

This is not the first time, the news got leaked in Apple Watch store, Previously the Halloween Event was featured in Apple Store and the event was announced a few days later.
As of now, we have no information to share on any release date, When Niantic starts advertising in the Apple Store, they almost always follow up with a relatively fast release.
