It has been officially announced by Niantic that a special Nidoking Raid Boss will appear in Japan as there was a tie in Team Rainbow Rocket’s takeover of Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores.

This will be a Special Only Raid Event in which the players will able to fight Team Rocket Boss Giovanni’s Nidoking. Also this Nidoking is far more powerful than an average Nidoking for obvious reasons.

Even so the trainers will have to work together in order to successfully attempt this raid, and a successfull raid will be awarded a Nidoking sticker from the Pokemon Centre.

  February 26, 2018 to March 11, 2018
• Giovanni’s Nidoking Raid Battle Starting Time
  Monday to Friday（excluding public holidays）
  （1）4pm~（2）5:30pm～（3）7pm～
• Saturday, Sunday, Public Holidays
  （1）11am～（2）12:30pm～（3）2pm～（4）3:30pm～（5）5pm～

As of now there are no updates for this raid being available to any other region.
