The Community Day 3 has already been started and it’s about to end in Asia-Pacific’s region and the following things are observed.

Obviously, The first report confirms Pink cotton candy, Apart from that many other things were observed:

• Shiny rates are fairly high, similar to the last event. According to the Report, trainers managed to encounter 1 Shiny out of 20 Mareep encounters.
• Few trainers reported experiencing lags, which isn’t unusual during an event.
• Mareep spawn rate seemingly is much lower than previous Community Days, according to first reports.
• All Field Research Catch oriented quests now involve Mareep.

It is exciting to see that Niantic adapted the Field Research tasks according to the community day making it easy and quick opportunity to put their hands on very much needed items throughout Community Day.

So only 22 hrs left and with the help of ZeChrales, A New Discovery has been made inside Pokemon Go’s Network Traffic and it is about the Mareep Family.

Chrales reported that Shiny Mareep family is in-network Traffic

The pink, cotton candy looking ball of fluff, shiny Mareep, is expected to make its debut during the event. This will also be the first Community Day to feature a Pokemon from Generation II.

Catching Percentage

Mareep’s base catch rate is 50%, which is much greater than previous community day catch rates.

Mareep is relatively easy to catch so just stock up on Poke Balls and use berries/throw better if you want to have an easier time.

Tips and Notes 

Mareep Has a Base Flee rate of 10% 

“Great” Curve throw + Great or Ultra Ball = Less than 5% flee, even at Level 35 with a worst possible throw, the flee rate goes up to 17% at level 35.

Burn Through That Incense!

Community Day is the perfect time to dust off those incense and use them! Incense spawns will be mostly Mareep (based on the last community day).

Stock Up

Keep a healthy supply of Poke Balls and berries so you don’t have to worry about running out.

Chrales reported that Shiny Mareep family is in-network Traffic and along with the Shiny models a special Field Research quest also found in the network traffic.

Although this announcement is overshadowed by Chrales’ enigmatic message that he’ll release something big tomorrow.

The third Pokemon Go Community Day with Bulbasaur as its main attraction has come and gone, but players The next real-world event for Pokemon Go is here. Niantic is hosting the forth Pokemon Go Community Day on on Sunday, April 15, and as it always has, it will be held during a three-hour window of time.

For the United States, the event will begin at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET and runs until 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET; in Europe and Africa, it runs from 10 AM – 1 PM UTC; and in the Asia-Pacific region, the event lasts from 12 PM – 3 PM JST.

The featured Pokemon for April’s Community Day will be the Electric-type sheep Mareep. Niantic hasn’t revealed what exclusive move it will be able to learn during the event yet, but if we take the previous Community Days into consideration, there’s a good chance players will need to evolve Mareep into its final form, Ampharos, before April’s Community Day ends in order to attain the special move.

Even-so, there is no news about probable shiny Mareep , Flaffy or Ampharos, however, shinies featured in every community day so far, so it would make sense for yet another shiny Pokemon to make an appearance.

Regardless, we’ll see how it all pans out next month. Community Day could be better deployed, but it’s still a fun time.
