EX Raid Gym Notification is now live

The new EX Raid Gym Notification is now live, the gyms which have potential to receive EX Raid Pass will be now marked with EX Raid Tag. 

It has been observed that there is only 1 Ex Gym per S2 Cell lvl 14.

Kecleon Update

New changes in the master file and network traffic has been observed •Added new data in the master file: “EX_RAID_SERTINGS” 
• The 2D and 3D model of Kecleon Pokémon #352 was modified and new texts added (all languages)

Mewtwo Changes!

HP Buff

Mewtwo just got more challenging with a massive HP buff  and CP from 49430 CP to 60540CP 

Neither massively affects your counter options, but definitely affect the number of trainers needed to win. There goes the duo.

Mewtwo New Movesets

Shadow Ball and Hyper Beam have now become legacy moves, adding 3 New Movesets

Ice Beam, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt are now new movesets of Mewto

Lower Base Capture Rate

Mewtwo’s catch rate has been changed to match the regular legendary catch rate, and it’s now lower than the EX Raid Catch rate

EX Raids Pass distributions are certainly no longer curious, but certainly are still a pleasure to receive, Luckily over the past few weeks, Niantic has given a good content of Ex Raids by continuously delivering the invites. This is the 13th invitation wave after Niantic acknowledges changes in the invitation system.

The new EX wave is based on the new and improved code. Which means if you have been trying out to get an EX Raid based on the following Guidelines, you may have it already or soon be getting it.

The guidelines of the updated EX Raid invite are as follows :

• Trainers with a higher level Gym Badge are now even more likely to receive an invitation for an EX Raid Battle at that location.
• Similarly, Trainers who complete more Raid Battles (at any location) the week before EX Raid Battle invitations are sent will now have a greater chance of being selected.

A few early observations from previous months raids is observed!

• Trainers are reporting raiding today for the first time at the Gym where the raid is to take place, and some are even reporting raiding there in the past two hours preceding the distribution
• Lots of trainers even reported raiding daily, hitting the proper Gym but still EX Raid pass not received.

So if you haven’t received an EX raid invite yet, you know what you need to be working on to increase your chances of getting the EX invite.

This comes shortly after Niantic acknowledged that the last 2 EX Raid waves had passes distributed on the basis of the older version of the code.

Niantic has recently acknowledged that the distribution mechanism used for the Recent EX Raid invites (Feb 21 Invites) was incorrect and executed an older version of the code.

The following fixes for the EX Raids were shared by Niantic in a recent blog post (“An Update on EX Raid Battle Invitations”, Feb 7, 2018):

• Trainers with a higher level Gym Badge are now even more likely to receive an invitation for an EX Raid Battle at that location.
• Similarly, Trainers who complete more Raid Battles (at any location) the week before EX Raid Battle invitations are sent will now have a greater chance of being selected.

Apparently, these will be completely put in place with the next wave.

Unfortunately, due to some Error, the old version of the code got executed and EX Raid passes were distributed using the older system.

Niantic Acknowledges on Facebook Post:

“Trainers, the most recent EX Raid Battle invitations were not as wide-reaching as we had hoped. We discovered an error that executed an older version of code, which did not include the fixes we’d previously introduced. Niantic has released a new Wave of EX Raid invites, which will take place on Feb 10th and 11th. 

The strange bit about this wave though is that players have received EX Raid Invites for gyms they have never raided before.

And this reports have been constant and coming up from all across the globe.

Not just new Gyms but also gyms where trainers haven’t raided in a long time have got EX Raid invites for those players.

Now, this is something that no saw coming.

Here are some proof regarding the above reports:

Twitter user @LRobertiello received an Ex Raid invite for a gym he has never been too.

Twitter user @Tagpri64 received an invite to a gym he last raided in July 2017

Well we don’t know whats going wrong for now, but we’ll keep you guys updated when something related to this comes up.

New EX Raid Pass wave is now live.

And this time around it seems that Sponsored Gyms have received the EX Raid invites.

This wave of EX Raids will take place on Christmas Day i.e on 25th December. And all the reports we have received yet have been of Sponsored Gyms.

It’s pretty unclear as of now, if the new EX Raid Distribution system is live or no. As per the reports received until now have all been of Sponsored Gyms.

If you have received an EX Raid pass from a non-sponsored, Garden Gyms or for any Gyms rather, do let us know.

We’ll update if something new comes up regarding the same.

A new wave of EX raid passes have been released today.

This wave has majorly targeted new and casual raiders.The Gyms targeted not only include Parks but others as well. Which pretty much points that the New EX Raid Distribution system has not yet been implemented.

The raids will take place on 11th December. And the Times vary from Gym to Gym.

If you are a Heavy Raider you might be wondering, why haven’t you received one now? But that’s the case we have noticed in this wave.

As said earlier they have majorly targeted New and Casual Raiders. And hence many of the Regular raiders including has haven’t received an Invite, even after doing 2-3 raids a day.

We predict that the new EX Raid system should be in place once Ho-Oh raids end.

Niantic has finally announced something we all have been waiting for, since a very long time.

Ever since the EX Raids were announced the ambiguity surrounding the selection procedure really confused everyone of us.

But it seems the wait is finally over the EX raids are now officially out of the Field Test Phase.

In an announcement made on Pokemon GO Official Website Pokemongolive.com, Niantic has announced an Update to it’s EX raid system.

The update focused on changes made based on the test run feedback. And also gives us a more clear picture about the EX Raid Requirements.

Here are the Changes made to the EX battle system, which also cover the EX Raid Requirements

• EX Raid Battles will take place most commonly at Gyms found in parks and sponsored locations.
• Trainers with a high-level Gym Badge are more likely to be invited to EX Raid Battles taking place at that Gym.
• Trainers who have completed a larger number of Raid Battles are more likely to be invited to EX Raid Battles.
• EX Raid Battle start times now take into account popular Raid Battle times at that Gym.
• Trainers invited to EX Raid Battles will receive an in-game notification if the EX Raid Battle is canceled.
• Trainers will receive Stardust and Premium Raid Passes when an EX Raid Battle is canceled.

All of the above changes give us a clearer picture regarding How, when and who will be eligible for the EX raids!!
