Raid Bosses’ shakeups are always interesting as they have proven to be another way for Niantic to introduce new Shiny sprites into the game, so we certainly hope for some Shiny news!

Tier 1 Raid Bosses are not affected, Tier 2 and 3 have got some Fighting Type additions

As we go through the analysis it clearly shows these boxes aren’t that good as the Kanto Celebration sale. If you’re holding enough number of Lucky eggs and star pieces and looking only for battle than Special Box is for you, if you make 3 purchase of Special Box you get 18 Passes while in the ultra box you get only 15.

As you’d expect, however, the other items in the Ultra Box do make it the best overall value of the three boxes if you take the non-purchasable items into account. If you can afford it, go for the Ultra Box

Trainers,

As we are all aware the two new Legendary Raid Bosses Latios and Latias are released worldwide and in addition to that Raids are also changing, the bosses that are encountered within each of the Raid Levels have changed, adding new Raid Bosses and removing the old ones.

Eight new bosses have been added to T2 through T4 raids. It appears that Tiers 2-4 Bosses have swapped in accordance with Latios and Latias weaknesses.

The T1 Raid Bosses (Shuppet, Duskull, and Misdreavus) are certainly related to the Special Research quests, At stage 5 of your Mew Quest, you will have to catch 10 GHOST type Pokémon.

Trainers,

In order to get Mew, you need to complete 8 Special Research tasks and objectives. One of them is to Battle in 2 raids and Battle in 10 raids. Battling in 12 raids is a too tedious task and seems to spend a lot raid passes. If you read carefully the task, the quest doesn’t specify you have to win in the raid battles. By using a simple method you can complete the quest task by only one single raid pass.

In case if you are not aware of all Special research stages of Mythical Discovery of Mew please refer our compiled guide

Mythical Discovery Stage 3 Task: Raid in 2 Battles

This task is a part of Stage 3 of Mythical Discovery Research, as we have already mentioned you don’t have to win the raid battle.

Follow the simple steps to complete the task in 1 Raid Pass

  1. Go into battle with a weak team.
  2. Get defeated, do not even try to win (If you want to complete the task in one raid pass).
  3. Wait in the lobby until time’s up! (Remember that you cannot run away from the raid before you timeout)
  4. Time’s up 1/2 Raid battle is now complete.
  5. Again Join the raid battle
  6. This time you can defeat the Raid Boss.
  7. 2/2 Raid Battles completed by using a Single Raid pass

If you want to save up potions and revives, you can escape from the battle to the rejoin screen and wait there the whole time.

Mythical Discovery Stage 6 Task: Raid in 10 Battles

This task is a part of Stage 6 of Mythical Discovery Research, as we have already mentioned above you don’t have to win the raid battle and use the same trick as above but in this one, you need the help of one more trainer (Optional only to save time).

Follow the simple steps to complete the task in 1 Raid Pass

  1. Go into battle with a weak team.
  2. Get defeated.
  3. Now your friends part comes, While you’re doing the time out trick, your friend creates a lobby for you, roughly 80-85 seconds before your time out. That way you avoid waiting in the lobby for full 2 minutes.
  4. Wait in the lobby until time’s up!
  5. Now repeat the same steps mentioned for Stage 3 Task.

Total Time required to complete the Stage 6 Task

  1. The first lobby = 2 minutes
  2. 3 mins of Fighting x 10 = 30 minutes
  3. 40s extra time x 10 = 6 minutes 40 seconds

Total Time Required: 38 Minutes 40 Seconds
