No official statement has been made about this yet, but the proof is already out.

And it just isn’t Articuno, there have even been reports of Moltres, Zapdos and Lugia to be in raids as well. Here are some more screenshots that we received!!

Trainers,

The Legendary Beasts have been migrated, for next 30 days the following beasts are confirmed in the following areas

  • Entei in North and South America
  • Raikou in Asia and Australia
  • Suicune in Europe and Africa

Check PokeTimer for Countdown timer

Be aware Raikou is the strongest beast while Suicune is the weakest, the base capture rate of Legendary Beasts is set at 2% in the GAME_MASTER resulting in the difficult capture encounters.

Thanks to MasterDiGarcia for preparing a map for illustration of the new Legendary beasts.

Here’s the Niantic Official Tweet of Migration

Trainers,

The Raid rarity and timings have been cracked by a Redditor name Charter23, Charter managed to collect data for a total of 2,942 raids throughout his city and calculate the relative percentage of each raid level.

The following is the research work produced by Charter

Raid Lvl Total Raids Ø per mon % of all Raids
Level 1 709 177 24.1%
Level 2 729 146 24.8%
Level 3 604 86 20.5%
Level 4 266 38 9%
Level 5 634 634 21.5%

As observed Level 5 Raids are more often than Level 3 and Level 4 raids.

The distribution of Bosses inside every Raid level is uniform, Every raid boss has the same chance to spawn, As observed by Charter Entei (In his case) spawned 3.6x more often than Magikarp and 14.4x more often than Tyranitar.
