Currently, the Players can’t change their team at the moment, but Niantic player to add that feature in future!

The Team Change functionality notice was updated in the Niantic Official website and it was first observed by the Redditor u/bakytn.

Here’s what mentioned in the official post.

HOW DO I CHANGE POKEMON GO TEAM?

“We plan to add this functionality to Pokemon Go in the future. We are working on a few other big features first, so we don’t have an estimate on when changing teams will be possible.”

There are three teams in Pokemon Go, Team Instinct, Team Mystic and Team Valor:

Team Valor (red) – Candela (leader), Moltres (mascot)

Team Mystic (blue) – Blanche (leader) and Articuno (mascot)

Team Instinct (yellow) – Spark (leader) and Zapdos (mascot)

• Pokemon are creatures with excellent intuition. I bet the secret to their intuition is related to how they’re hatched. Come on and join my team! You never lose when you trust your instincts!
