All New Generation IV Sinnoh Region Pokemon Added

All 107 Gen IV Pokemon ranging from Turtwig to Arceus have been added to the APK’s dictionary, Along with this, has come to the sound files for all 107, including 2 ‘cries’ for Pokemon #492, Shaymin (the Gen IV mythical with a Land Forme & Sky Forme)!

8 Pokemon had their forms formally added to the APK as well!

• Wormadam: PLANT, SANDY, TRASH
• Giratina: ALTERED, ORIGIN

Fitness Background Mode

We all in the Gen IV and Meltan Hype forgot that is also implementing another big update “Fitness background tracking modes“,  additional metadata involving the phone’s background mode have appeared, indicating that this feature is getting ready to roll out soon!

AR+ on Android

Last but not least, While the Official release note already boosts the AR+ on android, In order for AR+ to work on Android, a Pokemon GO player first needs to install Google’s ARCore platform

Alolan Forms (Normal and Shiny)

In addition to Badges, sound effects, the Alolan spirits were discovered in the network traffic. The Spirits of all Alolan Form along with their shiny forms are now available in the New Update!

The credits for this discovery go to Chrales, the regular Pokemon GO network analyst and reverse engineering master.

Trading Rules

Well, most of the trading rules are mentioned in our previous post. Here found some new things which may error out during the trade.

Criteria for Trading

• You and your friend have to be able to afford the trade,
• You need to have both reached the lowest required trading level
• Your daily trading limit (Special trades) mustn’t be already met

Additional Rules

The Pokemon you’re attempting to trade can’t be

• Mythical
• Slashed
• Buddy
• Gym Deployed
• Not fully Healed

The Game defines 5 Level of Friendship, we already mentioned the benefits of friendship level in our previous post

Player Reputation

In order to counter Spoofers and bot, Niantic has introduced a new client-side tool: Player reputation

According to the APK each player can be marked as

• Spoofer

And there are a few lines of code that deals with a concept called “repeated reputation”.

New Move: Hydro Cannon

Hydro Cannon, or in other words, move with ID 0299, is now available in the game. Imagine a WATER starter exclusive move? We have little doubts on which Pokemon will be the next Community Day feature

Official Changelog

• You can use Rare Candy in bulk mode now! Rejoice, you can finally dump dozen of candy into Feebas!
• The game will prompt you to accept the Privacy Policy on launch. Does this have to do anything with European’s recent GDPR initiative? The GDPR initiative mandates software developers to have a “I agree with this privacy policy” button, completely disclosing which Personal Identifying Information they are storing about you and providing you a mechanism to delete that data.

In this APK several new updates have been received regarding the Pokestop Point of Interest Submission.

The ability to upload photos by URL has been added UPLOADPOIPHOTOBYURL. Several error codes (e.g. ‘Image too big‘ and ‘feature disabled‘) have appeared alongside it.

Also, an attribute denoting the ability to include hyperlinks in PokeStop descriptions has been added.

5. WEATHER REPORT!

Seeing glitch in weather? Now you can report it!

A new reporting feature has been added to flag erroneous/problematic in-game weather! (USER_ISSUE_REPORT_WEATHER) This is an interesting development that perhaps points to Niantic’s openness to exploring additional weather data providers than the current data source.

6. “MYTHICAL” SEARCH FILTER

The Ability to search Mythical Pokemon in the search have been added in the new update.

7. PERFORMANCE MONITORING

A large addition in this APK is a Telemetry library which grants the client app the ability to monitor more closely the app’s performance. Things like:
