A Thousand Year Slumber: Jirachi Special Research Guide

Trainers, A Thousand Year Slumber is special research quest which unlocks the Hoenn region Mythical Pokémon Jirachi. The Jirachi Special Research Quest was made available  from 20th August 1PM PDT.

A Thousand Year Slumber Research Tasks

Stage 1 of 7:

Quest	Reward
Catch 25 Pokemon	1,000 XP
Spin 10 PokeStops or Gyms	Jigglypuff
Make 3 new friends	Feebas

Stage Completion Rewards: 

• 1x Mossy Lure
• 1x Glacial Lure
• 1x Magnetic Lure (Save this Magnetic Lure you will need this in stage to attach Steel Type Pokémon)

Stage 2 of 7:

Catch 3 Whismur	10x Whismur Candy
Evolve a Feebas	1,500 XP
Gold Hoenn Badge	1,500 XP

Stage Completion Rewards: 

• 2000 Stardust
• 10x Pokeball
• 3x Incense

Stage 3 of 7:

Quest	Reward
Take a snapshot of Loudred	Snorlax
Make 3 Great Throws in a row	2,000 XP
Earn 3 Candies walking with your buddy	2,000 XP

• 20x Silver Pinap Berry
• 3x Star Piece
• 2000x Stardust

Stage 4 of 7:

Quest	Reward
Catch 50 Psychic- or Steel-type Pokemon	2,500 XP
Power up Pokemon 10 times	2,500 XP
Send 10 Gifts to friends	2,500 XP

Use the Magnetic Lure 🧲 obtained in the Stage 1 to attract Steel-type Pokemon.

• 1x Charge TM
• 1x Fast TM
• 1x Premium Raid pass

Stage 5 of 7:

Quest	Reward
Battle a Team Leader 3 times	Kricketune
Win against another Trainer 7 times	3,000 XP
Win 5 raids	3,000 XP

Stage Completion Rewards: 

• 3x Rare Candy
• 20x Ultra Balls
• 3000 Stardust

Stage 6 of 7:

Quest	Reward
Take 5 photos of Steel or Psychic Pokémon	Chimecho
Make 3 excellent curveball throws	Bronzong
Spin a Pokéstop 7 days in a row	4,000 XP

Stage Completion Rewards: 

• 10x Silver Pinap Berry
• 10x Star Piece
• 5000 Stardust

Upon completing the Special Research Quest Line you will be available to Pick up the Special Jirachi T-Shirt from the in-game shop. 

The T-Shirt is exclusively available for players who complete the A Thousand Year Slumber Quest Line.
