Gen 3 : Candy Requirements, Stats, Placeholder Moves and Buddy Distance have been added to the Game Master file

Trainers,

The Game Master File has again been updated this morning. This time around adding Gen 3 Pokemon stats, capture encounter info, and evolution Candy requirements.

Gen 3 Promo used in the Apple Watch store confirming Gen 3 release during Halloween Event

As of now, all the Pokemon have placeholder moves of Tackle/Struggle, but as we inch closer we expect it to be updated in the upcoming days. Same is the case with Buddy distances where everyone has been given a buddy distance of 5Km as of now.

In terms of Evolution Candy Requirements, nothing much has changed from what we have seen in Gen 1 and 2. But there are some exceptions.

  • All 2 Tier Evolutions cost 50 candies
  • All 3 Tier Evolutions cost 25+100 candies
  • All split evolutions cost 50 candies, including Nincada to Ninjask/Shedninja

The Exceptions:

  • Feebas to Milotic will cost 100 candies.
  • Whismur to Loudred will cost only 12 Candies
  • Wurmple to Cascoon/Silcoon will cost only 12 Candies.

While we expected Feebas to Milotic to be more than 100 candies, more in the range of Magicarp to Gyarados, it’s nice to see it being so low. As Milotic is one of the best defenders to come out of Gen 3, having 100 candies to evolve is quite exciting.

Whereas we can now expect Whimsur and Wurmple to be the new mass Evolution fodders, replacing Pidgey and Weedle.

That’s it for now guys!!
