Pokemon GO: Changes happened in Mega Evolution on Community Feedback

Mega Evolutions seemed to be one of the exiting features in Pokemon GO, But since when the Mega Evolution appeared in the game, Players were unhappy with Niantic and how Mega Evolutions work in Pokemon GO.

Lots of feedback were provided by players around the world and today Niantic announced the changes they have made and upcoming changes in Mega Evolution.

Here’s are changes mentioned in the announcement:

Changes Live in Game

The Mega Energy requirement to Mega Evolve a Pokémon that has already Mega Evolved before has decreased.

According to the reports, It appears Niantic has decreased the re-evolve cost for all the Mega Pokemon by 20%

The amount of Mega Energy that Trainers receive from winning Mega Raids has increased.

Now the slowest speed reward will 50 and the highest will be 90.

Upcoming Changes

Niantic has also planned few more ways to earn Mega energy and here’s what they will be brining in futures updates.

  • Walking with your buddy to earn Mega Energy
  • More ways to earn Mega Energy through research tasks and other gameplay
  • Earning bonus Candy when catching Pokémon that share a type with your Mega-Evolved Pokémon

Now with a good team of 8-10 trainers, you can easily earn 80 Mega Energy on completing within 75 seconds through which you can Mega evolve your Pokemon like Vensaur, Charizard or Blastoise for 2 times. Though the paywall still remains and the initial cost unlock cost still remains the same.
