Recently Niantic released the Generation 3 and Weather Update and many new changes have been found in the game. You would have missed some news! Taking in care We have created a Wrap-up list of all the Gen 3 and Weather update.
Only 55 Generation 3 Pokemon are currently available in the Game. 5 Pokemon were released during Halloween Event and rest in the recent update.

Following Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon had their moves changed.
Gyarados, Rhydon, Suicune, Feraligatr, Politoed, Kingdra, Lapras, Seaking.

Type, Power, Duration confirmed for new moves: Waterfall, Surf, Drafo Meteor, Doom Desire, Yawn, Psycho Boost, Origin Pulse, Precipice Blades, Present.
Ho-Oh: Statima have also increased from (193 => 212)
Slaking: Slightly nerfed relative to pre-launch stats
Groudon: Slightly nerfed relative to pre-launch stats

Battle Parties are available in the game, The Update is still in the beta stage. You can access the Battle Parties tapping the Pokeball icon and swap left.
