Generation 3 Wrap Up – Running List of All Gen III and Weather News/Updates

Recently Niantic released the Generation 3 and Weather Update and many new changes have been found in the game. You would have missed some news! Taking in care We have created a Wrap-up list of all the Gen 3 and Weather update.

  1. Only 55 Gen III species have been discovered in-game.
  2. Weather-influenced Pokemon behaves differently than normal spawns/raid bosses.
  3. Storage Increase: Max Storage to be 1500, while everyone gets 50 additional slots for Free
  4. Gen 3 Shiny found in the Network Traffic.
  5. Some Gen III Pokemon are raid bosses and have shiny forms.
  6. Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon had their moves changed.

1. Only 55 Gen III species have been discovered in-game

Only 55 Generation 3 Pokemon are currently available in the Game. 5 Pokemon were released during Halloween Event and rest in the recent update.

2. Weather-influenced Pokemon behaves differently than normal spawns/raid bosses

  1. Weather in Pokemon GO will be affecting the way the Pokemon spawns and their Catch Rewards work
  2. Weather-influenced spawn IVs will change if the weather changes before you catch it.
  3. Weather-influenced raid bosses are caught at level 25 instead of level 20.
  4. Bonuses turn off in “Extreme” weather.

3. Storage Increased: Max Storage to be 1500, while everyone gets 50 additional slots for Free

4. Gen 3 Shiny found in the Network Traffic

Only Few Gen 3 Shiny have been confirmed in-game, but all shiny and regular spites can be found here.

5. Some Gen III Pokemon are raid bosses and have shiny forms

  • Tier 2: Mawile
  • Tier 4: Absol.

6. Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon had their moves changed.

Following Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon had their moves changed.

Gyarados, Rhydon, Suicune, Feraligatr, Politoed, Kingdra, Lapras, Seaking.

7. Additional details new moves found in GAME_MASTER.

Type, Power, Duration confirmed for new moves: Waterfall, Surf, Drafo Meteor, Doom Desire, Yawn, Psycho Boost, Origin Pulse, Precipice Blades, Present.

8. Some Pokemon stats were adjusted.

Ho-Oh: Statima have also increased from (193 => 212)
Slaking: Slightly nerfed relative to pre-launch stats
Groudon: Slightly nerfed relative to pre-launch stats

9. Few Generation 3 Pokemon are Regional.

10. Some Gen III Pokemon have new evolution patterns

Wurmple: 2nd stage Pokemon is randomly determined – (Still under verification)

11. Previously launched Gym Party function is finally live/functional

Battle Parties are available in the game, The Update is still in the beta stage. You can access the Battle Parties tapping the Pokeball icon and swap left.

12. Pokemon GO Holiday Event, possible Delibird Launch

Speculation has been spread from New Loading screen Delibird will be made available in Holiday Event
