Legendary Raids

Legendary Raid Battles: Lugia Raid Boss (Updated with Gen III Pokemon)

As Lugia comes back to life after a while being absent from the game, we are here to help you guys get the most out of all your Pokemon and give you the best chance to catch the Legendary Pokemon.

We have updated our previous Raid Battle Guide and added all the best possible Counters that were released into the game, after Lugia’s introduction. If you don’t have all the latest Pokemon that came out yet, we have even kept the Old counters in this article as well, which will help you get through the Batlle easily. Additional Lugia Countersching Lugia

These Pokemon are weaker than the counters mentioned above, but they are still viable, especially in large raid groups:

  • Steelix with Iron Tail/ Crunch
  • Slowbro with Water Gun/ Ice Beam
  • Slowking with Water Gun/ Blizzard
  • Umbreon with Snarl/ Foul Play
  • Houndoom with Snarl/ Foul Play

Catching Lugia

Lugia is much larger than Articuno and its target areas are very much easier to hit. Warning! Lugia’s attack is long.

We would suggest watching a couple of them before throwing at first to get used to the timing

We Would highly recommend using the golden razz as the base catch rate is 2% (With Golden razz, catch rate is 5% + etc bonuses such as curveball)

That’s it for now guys!!
