Event Date: From Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, September 28, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. local time

Mega Evolved Form Duration

• Mega-Evolved Pokemon can now stay in their Mega-Evolved form for 12 hours during the complete event.
• Poffin duration is doubled during the event.

Photobomb Surprise

#GOsnapshot with your Mega-Evolved buddy and you might have a surprise encounter with a Pokémon of the same species and that can be shiny too!

Event Exclusive Field Research

Here’s the list of new field research quests available with the start of the Mega Buddy Week. You will receive 20 Beedrill Mega Energy on completing the event exclusive “Mega Evolve a Beedrill” quest.

Mega Buddy Challenge Timed Research

A New Special Timed Research will start appearing in your today view, please note this is limited-time research so it will be disappeared once the event ends.

Stage 1:

• Catch 5 Pokemon: x3 Razz Berry
• Make 5 Great Throws: x3 PokeBall
• Give your Buddy 3 treats: Houndour (s)

Stage Rewards: x35 Beedrill Mega Energy, x500 Stardust and 1,000 XP

Stage 2:

• Catch 10 Pokemon: x3 Pinap Berry
• Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokemon: x3 PokeBall
• Earn a Candy walking with your Buddy: Buneary (s)

Stage Rewards: x40 Beedrill Mega Energy, x1,000 Stardust and 2,000 XP

Stage 3:

• Catch 9 different species of Pokemon: x3 Golden Razz Berry
• Mega Evolve a Pokemon: x3 Great Ball
• Earn 7 Hearts with your Buddy: Haunter

Stage Rewards: x60 Beedrill Mega Energy, x1,000 Stardust and 2,000 XP

Stage 4:

• Claim Reward: x3 Silver Pinap Berry
• Claim Reward x10 Poke Ball
• Claim Reward: x5 Ultra Ball

Stage Rewards: x2,000 Stardust, 5000 XP and Snorlax
