Trainers, Something strange just happened in the Asia Pacific region immediately after the Community Day Window. Special thanks to TSR for reports.

A New Pokemon species or form had flooded in the Asia Pacific region and 
Upon capture, it reportedly turns into a Ditto or Chikorita!

It is a somewhat odd-looking creature resembling the body of a ditto with a nut for a head and a small blob of dark matter for an eye.

What could be this brand new Pokemon Species or a new form of Ditto? We have so little information about what’s occurring.

Here’s what we know till now!

  1. It’s Not A Glitch: Niantic’s head of marketing for Pokémon GO in Japan, Kento Suga, has started tweeting about this indicating that it is a tease and not a mistake.
  2. Timeline: It appeared for 30 minutes after the Community Day window ended in the Asia Pacific Region and then vanished.
  3. It was Everywhere: Some have reported that not all spawns were this new species/form/thing, but spawns were dominated by it.
  4. Capture: When caught, it turned into a standard Ditto! (Some encountered Chikoritas after, but these were likely simply old spawns)
  5. Kecleon: Some trainers saw Kecleon on the map – which also turned into Ditto!

At present, the new Pokemon/form/thing has been reportedly spawning very infrequently in countries around the world.
