Trainers, The Team GO Rocket Leaders Cliff, Sierra, and Arlo along their Boss Giovanni have finally arrived in Pokemon GO Worldwide.

Here’s what’s new in Pokemon GO:

Looming in the Shadows

With the release of Rocket Leaders, a new Special Research quest “Looming in the Shadows” is released which will reward you Super Rocket Radar a new item that helps you find Team GO Rocket Boss Giovanni hideout.

But watch out—some Grunts have figured out what we’re up to. They may pretend to be Giovanni and get in your way! But keep at it, because if you defeat Giovanni, you may be able to rescue Legendary Shadow Pokémon:

  • Shadow Moltres
  • Shadow Articuno
  • Shadow Zapdos

Note: Looming in the Shadows will appear in your Special Research Quests if you’ve completed the “A Troubling Situation Quest“.

Mysterious Components

Mysterious Components are needed to form a Rocket Detector, Team GO Rocket Grunts may drop Mysterious ComponentsDefeat Team GO Rocket Grunts to collect Mysterious Components.

  • Defeat Team GO Rocket Grunts to collect Mysterious Components.

Rocket Detectors

Assemble 6 Mysterious Components to form a Rocket Detector

Rocket Detectors is used to find the Team GO Rocket Leaders Hideout in the interactive Map Mode. Activating the detector will enter a new map mode where you will be directed towards the boss.

  • You need 6 Mysterious Components to form a Rocket Detector.

Team GO Rocket Leaders 

Cliff, Sierra, and Arlo have made their way to Pokemon GO, You can use the Rocket Radar formed using the Mysterious Component to find out Team GO Rocket Hideouts.

Trainers can collaborate—if one Trainer detects a hideout at a particular PokéStop, others can detect the same hideout in the same place.

Here’s the Complete Pokemon Lineup of Rocket Leaders which has been reported so far by trainers.

Cliff

  • Meowth
  • Sandslash or Snorlax or Flygon
  • Tyranitar or Torterra or Infernape

Sierra

  • Sneasel
  • Hypno or Lapras or Sableye
  • Dragonite or Houndoom or Gardevoir

Arlo

  • Scyther
  • Gyarados or Magnezone
  • Charizard or Dragonite or Scizor

Special Research to battle Giovanni

By battling Team GO Rocket Grunts, defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders, and proving you’re an accomplished Trainer, you’ll be able to complete research to receive a Super Rocket Radar from Professor Willow.

The Super Rocket Radar will help you locate Giovanni! But watch out—some Grunts have figured out what we’re up to. They may pretend to be Giovanni and get in your way! But keep at it, because if you defeat Giovanni, you may be able to rescue Legendary Shadow Pokémon.
