Trainers,
Pokemon Go v0.79.2 was announced today with a tiny changelog:
- Various bug fixes and performance updates.
But doesn’t mean its a minor bug fix update, it’s a big news under the hood.
Beware Spoilers ahead
It’s happening, Gen 3 is coming during the Halloween – we have now almost all required files for Gen 3 in the new update. Gen III Pokémon audio clips are now in the APK, but more importantly… Gen III is coming this Halloween!
So here what got added in the New APK!
1. Gen III Pokemon Sounds
Sound files for the ‘cries’ of Gen III Pokemon got added. This includes all species up to #386 (Deoxys).
2. New Gen III Badge
Alongside the Kanto (Gen I) and Johto (Gen II) badges, a new badge is now referenced in the code and that mentions the Gen 3 Entries.
3. Halloween Event!
A new designation for HALLOWEEN_2017 appeared in the code.
4. Halloween Event Wallpaper!
New Halloween Event splash screen was added in the APK, and the wallpaper features new Gen III Pokémon! Duskull and Dusclops, Shuppet and Banette and Sableye.
5. Halloween Event Music!
A new entry has appeared called mapHalloweenNightMusic – hinting that one of two things may be about to happen in the Halloween event.
With All the Gen III Sound files and species entries and the new splash screen confirms Gen III during Halloween.
