Community Day #4 Mareep: Quick Guide – Egg Distance,IV, Catching Percentage and Few tips

The Community day is just around the corner, we have a lot to be excited about! Not only do we get Mareep as the event spawn, but with 3-hour lures and 1/4 of Egg Hatching Distance.

On Evolving Ampharos will have the exclusive move Dragon Pulse DRAGON, Set yourself a reminder/alarm to go off about 15 minutes before the end of the event to go through all of your Mareep to find the best options to evolve to obtain Dragon Pulse DRAGON, don’t forgot Community Day Exclusive moves are only obtained during the event.

The Fourth Community Day will take place on 15th of April

The Asia-Pacific region: from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. JST (GMT +9)
Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. UTC (GMT +0)

The Reduction in Egg hatching is nice and it’s worth taking advantage of. If you’re looking to hatch a lot of eggs then certainly go for running nine incubators. However, take note the hatching animation will cut into your catching time.

Catching Percentage

Mareep’s base catch rate is 50%, which is much greater than previous community day catch rates.

Mareep is relatively easy to catch so just stock up on Poke Balls and use berries/throw better if you want to have an easier time.

Tips and Notes

Mareep Has a Base Flee rate of 10%

“Great” Curve throw + Great or Ultra Ball = Less than 5% flee, even at Level 35 with a worst possible throw, the flee rate goes up to 17% at level 35.

Burn Through That Incense!

Community Day is the perfect time to dust off those incense and use them! Incense spawns will be mostly Mareep (based on the last community day).

Stock Up

Keep a healthy supply of Poke Balls and berries so you don’t have to worry about running out.

Get your Medal

If you haven’t gotten your Electric medal yet, this is a good opportunity to earn it.
